Ongoing marketing work: monthly SEO, writing blog posts or articles for you, directory listings, social media posting and paid ads. Bigger website work, like a redesign or new features, is quoted separately. Each topic below has its own “not included” list, so nothing is a surprise.

Not much, but a few things only you can do:

• Send us your business details and photos of your work when we ask.
• Give us access to your domain and your Google profile.
• Reply to enquiries. The system starts the conversation, you carry it on.
• Add a customer in the app when you finish a job, so they get a review request.
• Tell us if anything changes, like your services, areas or opening hours.

Businesses using the system properly do see more enquiries and more work. How much depends on your trade, your area and demand, and anyone promising you a number of leads is guessing. What we promise is the work: a site and Google profile built to be found, and a system that makes sure no enquiry or happy customer slips through.

Within two weeks, and usually about a week if we get what we need from you promptly.

About an hour in total: a 30-minute call at the start, and a 30-minute handover when everything’s ready, where we show you the app and switch it on. In between, we build it.

• A short onboarding form about your business, your services and the areas you cover.
• Photos of your work, if you have them.
• Access to your domain and your Google profile. No verified Google profile yet? We help you set one up.

We’ve built our own set of website templates for trades businesses. They’re fast, they work well on a phone, and they have good foundations for Google built in from the start. That’s how we can build a quality site quickly without charging you a build fee.

Every site is then made yours: your logo and colours, your photos, your services, your areas and your words. Two clients in the same trade won’t look or read the same.

• A homepage that explains what you do and makes it easy to get in touch.
• A page for each service you offer.
• A page for each area you cover, so you show up when people search for your trade in their town.
• Your reviews (the reviews page appears once you have at least three).
• A gallery of your work, once you’ve sent us photos.
• A contact page, a privacy policy and terms.

It’s built to give you the best chance of showing up in your area:

• Every page has a proper title and description with the service and the town.
• The words use the phrases people actually search for, written naturally, the way you’d say them.
• Structured data, the behind-the-scenes code that tells Google your business name, services, areas and reviews.
• Fast on a phone, which Google cares about.
• Submitted to Google and Bing when it goes live.

Nobody can promise you a ranking, and you should be wary of anyone who does. How well you do depends on your trade, your area, your reviews and how busy the competition is.

We do, from what you tell us about your business, your services and the areas you cover. It’s written to read well for customers and to be found on Google. If you’d like anything worded differently, just ask: it’s part of your monthly tweaks.

Every page makes it easy: tap to call, a quote form, a chat box and a WhatsApp button. Whichever they use, the enquiry lands in your app and they get an instant reply (see “Calls and enquiries”). The forms are protected from spam bots, so you’re not wading through junk.

• Hosting, security and keeping it running.
• Your domain name, if you don’t have one already. We buy it and renew it for you, and it’s included.
• Monthly website tweaks (see the next topic).

• A redesign, a new look, or a second website.
• New features, such as online booking, a shop, payments, a quote calculator or a members area.
• Writing blog posts or articles for you (part of the planned SEO add-on).
• Logo and branding design.
• Fixing, hosting or updating a website we didn’t build.

We rebuild it on our system, usually better than before, and it’s included in the price. That’s what lets your website and the rest of the system work together, so every enquiry from your site lands straight in your app.

If you’ve had real SEO work done and your site ranks well, we move it across carefully: every old page address is kept or pointed to its new page, so you keep the rankings and links you’ve built up. Moving a site like that is delicate work and we give it the time it needs to get it right. We look at how much is involved first, and depending on the size of the job there may be a one-off fee of £200. We’ll tell you before we start.

The website is part of the monthly service. If you leave, it stays live for 30 days, and you can buy it for £500 and take it with you, domain included. Your Google profile, its reviews and your customer list are yours whatever happens.

Once your site is live, you can send us one batch of changes a month. Think of it as up to about an hour of work, which covers the usual tweaks with room to spare.

• Changes to wording, prices, opening hours, phone number or email.
• Adding or swapping photos (see “Photos”).
• One new page a month: a service you’ve started offering, an area you’ve started covering, or a blog post you’ve written. New pages use the same layout as the rest of your site.
• Removing anything that’s no longer true.

Fixing anything broken or wrong never counts towards your hour. We fix it as soon as we can.

Send them as one list to hello@theleadkit.co.uk. They’re usually done within a week.

We’ll do the most important bits now and the rest the following month, or give you a price to do it all at once. Your choice.

• New page types or new sections your site doesn’t already have.
• Rewriting the whole site, or lots of pages at once.
• Writing blog posts or articles for you.
• Anything in the website “not included” list.

Not sure which side something falls on? Ask. If it’s extra, you get a price before we do anything.

Email photos of your jobs, your van or your team to hello@theleadkit.co.uk with your monthly batch. No logins, nothing to learn. They go on your gallery page and the photo strip on your homepage. Your gallery page appears on its own once there are photos in it.

Yes. We also add up to five of them a month to the photos on your Google profile, unless you’d rather we didn’t.

Real photos of your own work, your team or your van, taken by you. Phone photos are fine. We crop and resize them to fit, but we never change what’s in them. Your gallery and any photos of your jobs are always your own, never stock photos or AI images. Elsewhere on the site we may use licensed stock photos to illustrate a service, but never anywhere they could pass as your work.

Please leave out house numbers, number plates and customers’ faces unless you have their OK.

Taking photos for you.

At the start, we set your profile up properly:

• The right main category and services, with anything wrong taken off.
• A description, your service areas, your opening hours, and your website and business number linked.
• The photos you’ve sent us.
• Help getting verified, if your profile isn’t verified yet.
• A review link, so customers can leave a review in one tap.
• Automatic replies to good reviews.
• New good reviews turned into posts on your profile automatically.

The profile is yours and stays yours. Once it’s set up, replies to good reviews and posts of your new good reviews happen automatically, and we add the photos you send us. Apart from that, we don’t manage it month to month. Any other posts are yours to do, and the Social Planner in your app makes them quick (see “Social Planner”).

• Writing or scheduling posts for you.
• Monthly checks or reports on where you rank (coming soon as an add-on).
• Dealing with Google if your profile is suspended or edited by someone else. We’ll point you in the right direction, but sorting it is between you and Google.

Ongoing profile work will be part of a separate local SEO plan (see “Coming later”).

Your mobile stays exactly as it is: same phone, same number, same SIM, and anyone who already has it still rings you direct. What changes is the number on your website and Google profile. That becomes a new business number that rings straight through to your mobile. It’s what lets the system see a missed call and text the customer back.

No. To text back a missed call, the system has to be the thing that answers the line. A call to your personal mobile goes through your mobile network, and the system never sees it, so it can’t tell the call was missed, can’t text back from the same number, and can’t put the call and voicemail in your app.

That’s why every business that uses missed-call text back or call tracking works this way: a business number that the system controls, ringing through to your own phone. Customers look for your business name and use whatever number is on your website and Google profile, and it rings you just the same.

By WhatsApp from your business number, and by text if someone can’t get WhatsApp. They’re written to sound like you, and your name, your business name and the customer’s name are filled in for you.

The caller gets a message within seconds. Between 7am and 8pm it says something like:

“Hi there, it’s Dave from Smith Roofing. Sorry I missed your call. I’m on a job at the moment. Send me a few details about what you need and your postcode and I’ll come straight back to you.”

Out of hours, it says you’ll come back to them in the morning. The call, any voicemail and their reply all sit in one conversation in your app.

They get an instant reply thanking them, asking for any more details or photos, and saying you’ll come back to them shortly (or in the morning, out of hours). You get a notification on your phone, and the enquiry and their message are in your app.

They get a quick reply saying you’re just finishing something and will be with them shortly, and asking for any details or pictures. Out of hours, it says you’ll come back in the morning.

If you haven’t picked up the conversation after 15 minutes, they get a short “sorry for the wait, still busy, but I’ll get back to you later on”. Out of hours, a reply from them gets “thanks, got that, I’ll pick this up first thing in the morning”.

Yes. As soon as you reply or ring them from the app, the automatic messages stop. Ring customers back from the app rather than your own phone: they see your business number so they’re more likely to answer, and it keeps everything in one place.

Yes, changing what a message says is included. We suggest leaving them as they are for the first couple of months, because they’ve been tested to get people replying with their job details. Send changes together in one message.

Something new, like a different message for different times of day, is extra, and we’ll give you a price first.

All our messages follow the rules for business messaging and include an easy way to opt out. Anyone who replies STOP is automatically removed from all marketing messages.

When you finish a job, add the customer in the app. It takes a few seconds: pick them from your contacts or type their name and number. That day, between 2pm and 8pm, they get a friendly message asking for a review, with a link.

If you send us a clear photo of yourself, we turn it into a picture holding a sign with each customer’s first name on it. Personal pictures like this get more people to leave a review.

If they haven’t left a review yet, they get a short reminder 4, 11 and 18 days later.

The link opens a simple page where they tap a face to rate the job. Unhappy feedback comes straight to you, the same day, with what they wrote, so you can ring them and put it right. Every customer is still offered the Google link whichever face they tap, which keeps you within Google’s rules.

Good reviews (4 and 5 stars) get a reply automatically. If someone leaves a review under 4 stars, you get an alert so you can reply personally. A real reply from you is worth more there.

Yes. Your five-star Google reviews show on your site, and your reviews page appears once you have at least three.

Yes. Send us a list of past customers and we’ll send them one review request and one reminder. Up to 500 people are included. For bigger lists, it’s £50 for every extra 500 people, one-off. That works out at 10p a person for the request and the reminder, which is what the messages cost us: we just pass the cost on. You agree the price before anything is sent.

A short message to your customers at the right time of year, by WhatsApp (or text if they can’t get WhatsApp), with a “Book me in” button. For example: “The leaves are starting to come down, so it’s a good time to get your gutters cleared before they block.”

When someone taps “Book me in”, you get an alert and they get a message asking for their details. It’s an easy way to fill your diary with work from people who already know you.

Everyone you’ve added as a customer, plus any past customers you send us. They go out on the date you choose for each season, so up to four a year. Some people are left out automatically:

• Anyone you’ve done a job for in the last 60 days, so nobody gets “time for a clean” the week after you’ve been.
• Anyone who left unhappy feedback.
• Anyone who has opted out. Every message tells them how.

• Which seasons you want: spring, summer, autumn, winter, or just some of them.
• The date for each season.
• The sentence for each season. We suggest one for your trade and you approve it.

Changing a sentence or a date is included.

Each reminder can go to up to 500 people at no extra cost. For bigger lists, it’s £30 for every extra 500 people, each time a reminder goes out. For example, 1,000 people with four reminders a year is £30 a reminder, so £120 a year.

We just pass on the base rate for the messages, rounded into simple blocks of 500 people. Once we have your list, we send you the exact price, and nothing goes out until you’ve agreed to it in writing. Any charge is taken at the start of the month the message goes out.

Yes. Send us a spreadsheet or an export from your job software with names and mobile numbers, and tell us whether they should get seasonal reminders, a review request, or both. We tidy it up and leave out anyone without a mobile, or anyone with an obvious reason not to be messaged.

It’s your responsibility to make sure the people on your list are happy to hear from you.

Yes. Anyone who deals with enquiries, like a partner or an office manager, can have their own login at no extra cost. Tell us who, and we’ll set them up. You can also choose:

• Who gets notified about new enquiries.
• Whose phone rings when someone calls your business number.

Your team can chat with each other in the app too, and customers never see it.

• See and reply to every enquiry in one inbox: WhatsApp, texts, website forms, chat and missed calls.
• Every call, voicemail and message with a customer in one conversation.
• Ring customers back from your business number.
• Add a customer after a job, which starts their review request.
• Get a notification for every new enquiry.

Day to day, most people only use it to reply to enquiries and add customers after a job.

Yes. LeadConnector includes a full CRM for your contacts, conversations and leads, and you’re welcome to use as much of it as you like. For the full list of what it can do, see the LeadConnector app on the App Store or Google Play.

We run the automations for you. We don’t manage your contacts, pipeline or diary day to day.

You don’t need to move anything to get started. A connection to another system may be possible, and we’ll look at it case by case. Custom connections or moving your data across are quoted separately.

A tool in your app for posting to social media. Write a post once, add your photos, and send it to Facebook, Instagram, your Google profile, LinkedIn and TikTok in one go. Post now, or schedule it for later.

No. The Social Planner makes posting quick, but the posts themselves are yours to do. We help you connect your accounts at setup and show you how it works.

On the 1st of each month you get a short email showing what the system did for you the month before: how many people got in touch, how many missed calls were saved by the text back, and the reviews that came in.

No, your email stays yours. The system doesn’t need it: enquiries come into your app.

• If you already have email on your domain, it keeps working when we move your domain.
• We add the records your email provider gives you, including the ones that stop your emails arriving with a “could not be verified” warning.
• If you’d like an email address on a new domain, Google Workspace is the easiest. You sign up and pay Google directly, and we connect it to your domain.

Providing, hosting, forwarding, moving or fixing mailboxes. Email is between you and your provider.

Yes. Google isn’t the only search engine. When your site goes live, we submit it to Bing, and we copy your Google profile to Bing Places, Bing’s version of a Google profile. That gets you on Bing and the services that use it, with the same details as Google.

Not as part of the package. Directory listings (Apple Maps, Yell, Thomson Local and the like) will be part of the planned local SEO add-on.

If you’re already on sites like Yell, Checkatrade or Facebook, those accounts stay yours to manage. We’ll tell you if any of your details there don’t match your website and Google profile, so you can update them.

You do. Your contacts, conversations and customer list are yours. If you ever leave, we send you your customer list as a spreadsheet.

Yes. Messages only go to people who contacted you or hired you, and only about work related to the job. Every message has a clear way to opt out, opt-outs are honoured automatically, and we keep the records that show it was done properly. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

£195 a month, or £1,950 if you pay for the year (two months free). No setup fee, no build fee and no minimum term.

By Direct Debit, monthly in advance, set up in a couple of minutes when you start. Card works too if you’d rather. If our price ever changes, we tell you in writing at least a month before, so you can cancel first if you want to.

Only these, and you always agree the price before anything happens:

• Seasonal reminders or a past-customer review request to more than 500 people.
• A possible one-off fee of £200 for moving a website that already ranks well, depending on the job.
• Work outside the package, like a redesign or new features.

Everything else is in the £195, including the everyday messages and calls the system handles for you.

Email us any time. We ask for 14 days’ notice, and there are no refunds for part months.

• Your Google profile and its reviews are yours, and they stay where they are.
• We send you your customer list as a spreadsheet.
• Your website stays live for 30 days, and you can buy it for £500 and take it with you, domain included.
• The automations stop, and so does your business number. We put your own number back on your Google profile. If the business number is anywhere else, like your van or your cards, change it before you go.
