Part 05 of 6

Five star reviews, asked for properly

How many reviews you have decides how many people find you, how far they trust you, and how many of them ring. Almost nobody asks for them consistently.

You finish a job, the customer is delighted, and they absolutely mean to leave you a review. Then they go back to their life and never do. That is not rudeness, it is just how it goes, and it is why most good trades have far fewer reviews than they have earned.

The system asks for you, at the right moment, every time. The customer taps a face: great, okay, or not great.

Great and okay go to Google. Not great goes to a private form that comes straight to you, so you hear about it before anyone else does and get the chance to put it right.

What that means in practice

  • One customer, one button

Pick the customer when the job is done and press send. A personal request goes out in your name, not a bulk mailshot.

  • Thirty seconds for the customer

They tap a face and land straight in your Google review box. The easier you make it, the more of them finish it.

  • Unhappy customers reach you first

Their feedback comes to you privately, while it is still a problem you can fix rather than a one star review you cannot.

  • Replies handled

Google rewards a profile that answers its reviews, so positive ones get a fitting reply written for them. Anything under four stars comes to you, because that needs a person.

Ready when you are

Every finished jobshould leave a review behind.

Asking every single time is what builds the count, and the count is what decides how many people find you and ring.
